Functional Trainers

Strength Training is incredibly important. In fact, studies have shown an inverse relationship between strength training and all causes of death -- meaning, simply, strong people are harder to kill. And there’s no age limit to strength training, either. Anyone can do it, and honestly, we believe everyone should. Now, there’s several different types of strength training of course, and it’s important for you to understand your goals before diving for a machine. Pulley-based exercises like what you'll do on a functional trainer are a great and safe alternative to free weight exercises, and still engage your balancing muscles (called proprioceptors), which is vitally important as we age. For a Functional Trainer, the flexibility is dependent on the user, so they're great for people who know the movements they're looking to do, or are creative enough to find out how to build their own routine.
