Necessary to sustain many free-weight exercises, a good bench, rack system, or smith machine can bump your routine to the next level. But there’s a lot of options out there to consider based on what you’re trying to accomplish.
Racks & Benches
Depending on your circumstances and what you’re trying to accomplish, there’s a wide field of view for free weight exercises. If you’re in need of benches that are rated for any use (home, light commercial, or full commercial applications) or racks that fit in your space, we’re going to have something for you to see. We have large cages, power racks, and varying benches all the way from compact travel benches to incline/decline benches with and without leg attachments.
Some of our rack systems, like the Body Solid GPR378, has numerous options such as an additional weight stack and lat pulldown attachment, expanding functionality while minimizing the space you need. We also have whatever you need in terms of freeweights.
From a liability standpoint, Smith Machines are really excellent. But even if it’s going in your home, a Smith Machine is great to give you enough structure to train alone, but also give you great flexibility in terms of exercises. They’re also extensible, lat pulldown attachments on some, such as the Body-Solid Series 7, and selectorized weight stacks. Each one is custom-configurable with the options you want. Another great option is the CXT-225, with an optional Smith attachment, it also functions as a great cable crossover that fits tightly in a corner.
